These books started my obsession with reading and horses!

The entire Thoroughbred series is amazing for kids who love horses. But the first one is my favourite, and is truly spectacular. I still enjoy it as an adult. ( )

By far the best horse series ever created. I was intimidated by these books when I was younger because I thought there was too many in the series and that I'd never catch up if I started reading. I also did not think I would like them. Boy, was I ever wrong! I got the first 5 books as a gift when I was a young teen and I instantly fell in love with them. I now own each book in the series and sad to say that after #12 they started getting awful! I love #1-#12 so much. Even now, at a much older age, I can still sit back and remember what a fantastic book series this was and I would still read them today.
It all starts off when Ashleigh moves to a new farm where her parents are in charge of breeding the race horses. She saves a filly who no one thinks will make it and thus begins the wonderful bond between Ashleigh and a horse called Wonder. :) ( )
