Yea, I know, many people in a situation like this would act this way but if I wanted to read about the dregs of humanity I wouldn't read fiction.
I don't need a mary sue. Flawed characters are interesting. But there has to be something that makes them stand out, something remarkable that makes them worth writing about above others. This is just not the case with the mc in this one at least up to 50% where I decided to dnf.
I expect angels will get involved to provide a quite literal redemption to this mc but I am just not interested. I quite frankly would've liked to see him die in agony instead. ( )
