Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. whatttt??? really good intro/hook for this kind of story and the colors/lighting are great, would like to continue the series (but not sure if I'll go out of my way) ( ) cw: homophobia, r*pe mention, suicide (Please let me know if I need to tag anything else.) This was very a interesting read, but I’m not comepletely sold on this series. I liked a lot of elements about it, particularly the visual style, but I was concerned with the homophobic language one of the character uses and other problematic elements in the story. While some of these comments are confronted by other characters, they don’t really touch on them as much as I would like and some of the off-putting material is explained away, particularly because this volume is set in 1988. If there is a more in-depth discussion about these behaviors later in the series, I may be willing to continue with it. Really had no idea whether I would like this series...thought the girls might be made of paper. But as it turns out this series is a real nostalgic trip back to the 1980s. If you liked Ready Player One as much as I did, you'll like this too. Having read the whole series (finishes at #30), I can say that yes, more could have been written, (indeed I watched series 1 of the tv adaptation which is different, but still enjoyable), but 1-30 made a very pleasant journey into a world of the past. This book mentioned Shillelagh, the tardigrade, Wendy's fast food, Radio Shack, Quetzalcoatlus, Breakout (computer game), Asteroids (space invaders computer game), Andy Capp (I was surprised to find this was in the USA), Quantum Leap (Sam Beckett), 12 Monkeys, Voltron, and Star Trek (caping devise). Some of these references may have come from later in the series, as I read all episode 1-30 in one go. Definitely a series I will read again for the sheer enjoyment. Four 1980s girls accidentally get involved in a war between two factions of time travelers and have mind-bending adventures. I liked the art, the different time periods they visited, how many of the characters are seen at different points in their personal timeline, and how each of them contemplates their (apparent) future and whether it's destiny or can be changed.
