This book has some of the best prose of any GN I've ever read. And it's a by and large great story. The art is pretty great for the most part if you can ignore the fact that a lot of the characters have no eyelids and make blowjob face a lot and have very few other facial expressions. And the bulgy muscle veins. That's not a real thing (at least as depicted) and it just bothers me when I see it in comics.

Overall it's a great read. Don't read volume 2. ( )

This is a fantastic start to the Aaron run series of Thor. I don't usually read Thor individual series, unless it's part of an event or attached to some other graphic novel. This book has changed my mind and I have added Thor books to my list to read.

This story was amazing and I loved the art. In the beginning we see 3 different POV of Thors from past, present, & future. We see how through the ages, they had interactions with the God Butcher. The story flows perfectly until it reaches the conclusion. I loved how it ended and can't wait to see how this event changed Thor, or if it even did.

I loved seeing the different personalities of the Thors and how they've grown with age.

This is a must read book, even if you've never read Thor before. ( )

This is not classic Marvel, written for a young audience. This is somber, violent, and philosophically deep. We have excellent art by what appears to be the same artist all the way thru. To rare a treat these days. A complete story in this hardback collection. One of the better things I've seen come out recently from Marvel. ( )
