However, their baby isn't exactly what they expected. He hardly ever cries. He's growing teeth instead of losing them. He sleeps through the night. This isn't normal zombie behavior! Something must be terribly wrong. The colorful, full page drawings show the funniest things a good zombie parent would do to comfort a new baby. While this book would not have been a typical first choice for me, I gave it a whirl. It is the perfect opportunity for young readers to take in the zombie-craze. This book would lend itself nicely to a compare and contrast lesson. Students could create a Venn diagram outlining the differences and likenesses of things human parents might worry about vs. those that zombie parents might find of concern. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Publishers Weekly described author Kelly DiPucchio and illustrator Scott Campbell's first story about zombie love as having "just the right degree of repellant charm," and I think the same could be said of this second installation of the series. Zombies are not a particular favorite of mine, when it comes to the creatures of the horror canon, but for those who feel differently, those who like stories that are both sweet and gross, these books will make an excellent choice. Recommended to young monster lovers, and anyone looking for stories with that just-right mix of the horrific and the heartwarming. ( )
