A story about a love lost and found again after Years apart. A misunderstanding over accommodations leaves ex lovers together in the same vacation cottage. It was a well written story full of emotion, I laughed I cried was very excited to find out there is a sequel "Write me something beautiful." Those words could be utter for any type of art. For Zachary and Violet, this means the beautiful music that only their two hearts can hear. This is one of my favorite tropes- second chance - written by one of my very favorite authors. Best friends in college with each one hesitant to risk it all find themselves years later with paths crossed. Both trying to get away from stressors of their careers and find a muse, end up at the same house for two weeks. Reluctant roommates learn about what they missed and whether or not they can be friends again. I instantly fell in love with Zach. He realizes soon this is his second chance to get the girl and tries everything in his power to have her in his life. Violet is a bit more closed off as a character; cautious and not ready to open the door for the possibility of more. As the story progresses, Violet begins to thaw and I began to connect with her more. This standalone is definitely one of my top 5 reads in the trope. Katy interweaves the love story with the real life concerns and pitfalls adults have. If you are unfamiliar with Katy's writing, this is a great book to get the rhythm of her storytelling and fall in love with her style. If you are familiar, this is a DEFINITE must read to add because there is a certain follow up novella you don't want to miss. 4.5 out of 5 stars I have been blessed to have found a great deal of my favorite books as free reads at the time I have purchased them. Never knowing what to expect you open the book and read that first page with a hint of anticipation. Playing For Love at Deep Haven proved for me to be worth it's weight in gold. Katy Regnery wrote a captivating story of first love. The pain of the two main characters proves so real that you feel their emotions grabbing at you from every page. This is a beautiful story of friendship, first love and finding the way home again. Must read. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

HTML: "It is heartbreaking to read the story of their separation, two people who never got over each other no matter the involvements in between...and swooningly, gorgeously romantic to see them working their way back to each other through poem and song." â??LeeAnn, Goodreads reviewer and bookseller She was the girl. The only girl. The only girl I ever wanted. The only girl I ever loved. The only girl I could ever love. And I killed it.I destroyed it. I threw her love away. For nine years, I've kept the memory of her locked in the deepest corner of my heart...all the while hating myself for what I did to her. To us. Now, without warning, she's walked back into my life. I'm covered in tats. She's covered in Polo. I write heavy metal songs. She writes chick-lit. My eyes are angry. Her eyes are sad. I still long for her with every fiber of my being. But I have no idea if she feels the same. I guess it's time to find out. Playing for Love at Deep Haven is a standalone novel. FAIR WARNING: This book contains scenes of detailed intimacy and liberal use of profanity. It is intended for readers 18+ Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

It also appears that this was self-pubbed. It's well-formatted, well-edited, and very professional looking. Even though the end let me down quite a bit, I wouldn't have felt insulted if I had actually paid real money for this (I got it for free at Amazon.) ( )
