I gave this 5 stars but it's really 4.5. I had to deduct because Sophie was a judgmental bitch for too much of the book. I was actually starting to hate her! She did redeem herself at the very end of the book which was a bit disappointing. I really would have liked to have more time with them loving and accepting each other just how they are. I absolutely love how Joanna Wylde writes and will read more from her. I did think about this book even when I wasn't able to read it at the moment. The first is still my favorite and I look forward to the next one. ( )

Another fun book in the series. Why do I enjoy these motorcycle club romances when in reality I would not be on board with having one? I guess that's the great thing about fiction. It lets you live vicariously lives that in reality would scare you to death.

Okay on to the review. The book was well written and the pacing was good. I would have liked to have a better idea of how old the hero was. I enjoyed the way he loved the heroine's little boy. I liked the was he was always there for the heroine. He was an ass at times but that's the genre of the book we're reading here.

The heroine was well done as a young unwed mother. Her dilemmas and trials and worries were realistic. I felt that the heroine's distrust of the hero's life style and the MC lifestyle was glossed over at the end. I guess because of the shocker at the end she had to accept that these people had her best interests at heart even if things might get dicey at times.

What I didn't like was the way that her portion was written in 1st person past POV and his was written in 3rd. Frankly I like the POVs to match. Generally I like them all in 3rd person past tense, but at least make them match. And dare I say that written like this, I kept flashing on Kristen Ashley's books which are nearly always written in this style. ( )
