Un antiquaire se fait vendre un superbe fauteuil par un vendeur pressé à l'allure bizarre, un homme qui débarque chez lui un dimanche après-midi, à bord d'un grand camion noir... Content d'avoir fait une affaire, il installe le meuble chez lui, et il ne lui faudra pas longtemps avant de se rendre compte que celui-ci est étrange, et qu'il a été vraisemblablement fabriqué par un dément. L'aura du fauteuil va peu à peu pourrir sa vie de famille, et il va tenter de le rendre à son propriétaire, puis de s'en débarasser. Par la suite, il commencera à faire des découvertes concernant ses origines... ( )

This is an early Masterton horror. I have to say that this book didn't pull me in as much as many of his others have done. Not a bad book but not one of his best.
