Sabre's best friend and colleague, Bob, is accused of murdering the father of her minor clients. It is up to Sabre and JP to prove Bob's innocence and to find the actual culprit.

The story was quite nice, but I felt that there was consistently a bit too much detail or unnecessary descriptions that didn't really add to the plot. ( )

I enjoyed this book immensely. Towards the end I could not put it down to even watch tv. I would definitely read more of hers. I didn't even guess the end and it came as such a surprise to me.

This book was more of what I've come to expect from this series. Less time explaining stuff that the previous books covered. The characters were more involved with each other while the story weaved around them. I was happy to see less sugary comments between Bob and Sabre, and more sparks between Sabre and JP. I know a lot of people say they guess whodunit, but I usually don't which is why I read Mystery/Drama and not write them. I love to be surprised and this Author does that for me while giving the story a good twist. The plots are well thought out with just enough suspense to keep me reading. I will continue to read this series as long as she cares to release them. ( )

The Advocate, The Advocate's Betrayal, The Advocate's Conviction, The Advocate's Dilemma - each of Teresa Burrell's books is better than the last. Over the course of this series, I have become quite involved with her characters - they are so well developed, that it's not too hard to picture picking up the phone to call Bob or Sabre about a juvinile court case ot to ask JP to do a little sleuthing. And, her storylines are outstanding - each is more complex and involved than the previous one. Ms. Burrell's growth as a writer is readily apparent throughout this series, and I am very much looking forward to reading the next installments. ( )
