School Junie B Jones has been set in both kindergarten and first grade. This Thanksgiving story is supposed to be Junie in first grade. Her call was competing in a school contest about Thanksgiving. Each student is responsible for contributing two things that they are Thankful for. The lunch lady made a pumpkin pie and the class with the best list wins the pie. Even if the kids do not like pumpkin pie, that is that prize and they do not get options. There were some very funny lists and my favorite was definitely the exploding can of biscuits. Sometimes I forget how creative children are until I reread books like this. Junie B. Jones' class won because of their honest creative responses. I enjoyed this book not only because Junie B. Jones books have always had a special place in my heart, but because of the message that this story was based on. The moral that I thought of for this story was to always be honest and let your weirdness and creativity show! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
