Good. Overall, predictable and a bit trite, but I still enjoyed it. ( )

Elizabeth will do anything for her brother, Benny, even if it puts her in harm's way.

Benny has addictions that get him into trouble a lot so he calls Lizzy for help often. But he went too far when he asked her to pick him up at a drug lord's house putting her in a very dangerous situation. The man wants her and will stop at nothing to get her.

Porter dated Lizzy briefly but she ended it because of his negative feelings for Benny. Still having feelings for her and regretting letting her go, he goes to great lengths to protect her. Being former military and working for Red Stone Security gives him skills that come in handy especially when a local gang has her in their sights and nearly killed her in a drive-by shooting.

This story is action-packed with drug lords and local gangs. It starts out with Lizzy going to the house of a big drug boss to get her brother. It wasn't the brightest move to go there and not tell anybody where she was going. But that was Elizabeth. Always rescuing Benny even when no one else in the family wanted anything to do with him. She had a reason for always being there for him, but you have to read the story to find out about that.

I liked the chemistry between Porter and Lizzy. I felt bad that she let her protective feelings for her brother come between them. But loved the way they came together again later. I didn't like the way Elizabeth kept so much to herself, not telling Porter stuff she should have so he could solve the crime and keep her safe.

This is a really good romantic suspense with a surprise ending that was just the icing on the cake! ( )

High octane suspense and romance.
The first in a series about a security agency which means buff men with mad skills needed to protect their families and friends. In this book the heroine is smart but her brother puts her in jeopardy. The hero steps in to help and they are soon on the run. Of course, their attraction to each other grows. This book is more about the adventure but the sex scene is hot.

I'm really looking forward to reading more of this series. It was a fast and thrilling read. ( )

Elizabeth Martinez has a brother that she has been bailing out of trouble for years. First it was drugs and now gambling. Except this time he owes the wrong man money. After calling her for help she shows up at one of Miami's biggest drug lord's house to collect her brother but soon finds out the drug lord Orlando doesn’t have any intention of letting her go. From here the action starts and pretty much goes till the end of the book.

Porter Caldwell along with his brothers owns a Security Firm. They had a short fling in the past but Lizzy ends it when Porter takes issue with her constantly bailing her brother out of trouble. After her mother calls Porter and asks him to keep an eye on Lizzy he follows her to Orlando and goes in guns blazing to rescue her and Benny. After escaping they are then hunted down by gang bangers who Orlando hired who try to gun her down multiple times along with shooting a grenade launcher at the SUV her and Porter are in.

While constantly on the run and hiding out Porter realizes he still loves Lizzy but Elizabeth who also still cares for Porter still feels the reason she originally left will still be a problem between them.

I have found out that this was the first book in the series and looking forward to the other brothers books. ( )

This could have done with some editing: strange grammar, inconsistencies etc. Fast read and some action, but cardboard story and characters. So far I'm not overly impressed and glad that was a cheap box of 3 (shortish) novels.
