The Shoulders of Giants by Jim Cliff is a mystery in the mold of Elmore Leonard and Mickey Spillane; gritty dialogue, realistic settings, and non-stop action that will keep you on the edge of your chair as Jake flits from one hair-raising encounter to another. I'd like to give 4 and a half stars!a very nicely done thriller :), I really enjoyed reading it. Jake Abraham reminds me a bit of Mike Hammer - he could have been similar to Jake when he started his PI career. The book has wit, suspense and is very well written - it was hard to put down and I was very sleepy today at the office *g* I'm very much looking forward to Jake's next case! ( ) Releanna | Apr 10, 2013 | I liked the way that Scott explained various forensic terms and police procedures to Jake, and therefore the reader, which helped me to understand and follow the direction of the police investigation. The story kept me entertained and it didn’t follow a predictable course, but kept me guessing until the end. I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was written well. I still noticed a few grammatical errors as I made my way through it. I enjoyed how there was two stories lines that were running at the same time. The characters were well thought out and it wasn't predictable. Can't wait to read the books that follow Jake Abraham. (
