Eu realmente não esperava algo tão bom como a finalização desse arco. Uma ótima exposição da relação entre pai e filho mais a questão do vigilantismo. Simplesmente Realmente muito bom! ( )

I'm still in my Damien kick for comics, very good story with villain Nobody as Damien tries to control his rage and meet his father's expectations.

Only thing that lowered the score on this is the fact that I have trouble enjoying the artwork when getting the Hardcover collections. Yes, I could've waited til the paperback version came out or gotten the separate issues but both of those would've meant a longer wait and like Damien, my patience isn't that good. ( )

I enjoyed reading this book, which is primarily how Bruce Wayne interacts with his son Damian. As a quote says in the book, Batman may be the greatest detective, but he is not the greatest father. ( )

Mit diesem Band wollte ich mal ausprobieren, wie mir die Batman Comics gefallen - außerdem wollte ich unbedingt etwas mit Damian Wayne als Robin haben. Das dieses hier die Nummer 5 ist, ist tatsächlich gar nicht so wichtig, da es vom Inhalt schätzungsweise ohnehin egal ist. Es sind ja die "ersten" Hefte einer Reihe und so einen richtigen Anfang findet man bei den meisten Superhelden Comics sowieso kaum, da erschien es mir für Batman und Robin ein guter Beginn.

Man findet hier sehr gut in die Story rein, allerdings kenne ich auch die Hintergrundgeschichte von Damian Wayne und würde empfehlen, diese vorher vielleicht etwas zu recherchieren. Man kann dem Geschehen natürlich trotzdem folgen, aber wenn man noch nie mit Damian Wayne als Robin konfrontiert war, könnte es vielleicht trotzdem hilfreich sein, er ist nämlich ein sehr faszinierender und cooler Charakter. Ansonsten ist das Buch hier aber super für einen Einstieg geeignet. Die Story selbst ist klasse und die Zeichnungen finde ich auch richtig toll - einfach ein echt cooler Comic, der viel Spaß macht! Ich werde definitiv dran bleiben und mir diese Batman Collection Reihe nach und nach besorgen - ich kanns durchaus empfehlen. Vor allem ist nicht nur viel Inhalt drin und im Anhang noch Skizzen und Entstehungsbilder zum Comic, sondern der Buchrücken auch noch so gestaltet, dass die Bücher im Regal nebeneinander gestellt ein komplettes Bild ergeben - ganz so wie man es von anderen Collection Reihen ja schon kennt. Okay, there's a villain here. Nobody, who is Morgan Ducard, son of one of Bruce Wayne's early trainers. From that--and this being a Batman and Robin story--you can tell it's just full of Daddy issues. Morgan's with his father; Damian's with his; and Bruce's giant ball of issues about whether or not he's able to raise a child, especially a child like Damian. This is definitely a story about the characters, about Bruce and Damian--and Batman and Robin--learning how they fit together. ( )
