Noticed you liked Catcher in the Rye, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent suffering from mental illness. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm currently out of physical copies). If you're interested, send me your e-mail address (mine is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll send you the e-book. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

hi! i just stumbled over an entry you made and i just have to answer to that:

"I still feel kind of guilty to put down books and so I try very hard to finish all of them but there are two I'm not able to get past the first ten pages. They're The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Orlando by Virginia Woolf. I picked them up again last year, but as every other year I ended up putting them down. I must have some sort of unresolved problem with them."

i bought myself a copy of "the picture of dorian gray" when i was in budapest and i felt like i had to read it because it's a big classic. i tell you it's absolutely NOT worth your time! you have better things to do. don't feel guilty about it. that thing is just incredibly boring and i guess it was probably an exciting read a 100 years ago but thank heavens now there's better literature around. about "orlando" i can't tell you much, cause i made it only to page 10 before i realized that i really really REALLY don't want to read it (i guess it's the writing style that killed that book for me).
i think reading should be everything but a competition with oneself. (i guess i'm just writing this to encourage myself to stop reading a certain book without a bad conscience ;))
